look guys…. first thing first… Juve have the best fans…I am so proud of those guys at the stadium. They supported the team till the end. In any other stadium people would of left after 3:0 and especially seeing the attitude of the players.
Then I agree with Marco. We(Juventus) respect the big teams way way way too much. That plays a big big role in players mentality. They were praising Real before the game and they are doing now after the game. What do you think young players like Berna, De Scilio, Benta and Dybala think when they see the best goalkeeper in the history of the game GIVE UP. Says its over. Last year when we played Barca, on the press before the game Allegri said something like " Barca are very good in attack but they allow too much in the back and that would hurt them". He won the game right there and then. Yesterday Zidan said " the plan is to win in a way that we wont have to worry for the second game" (or something like it) no doubt in his mind that he will win. That is motivating for his players and it kills the opposition.
Then we have the tactics. Allegri had it way off. The game of soccer is played in 3 parts: attack, defense and hold. The formation is overrated. Its a mind F@$ck but it work. What is important is the characteristics of the players and what they are instructed to do. I think is obvious to everyone that Juve lost the game in the midfield. Allegri had 2 central mids, one winger that plays as a left midfielder. (Again the difference is the instructions. midfielders have more defensive responsibilities than wingers.) and a left back that played as something like wingback but with the idea of him helping Asa. Zidan had same 2 mids in (modric and kroos) plus a holding mid in Casemiro. That means Allegri is thinking that one on one his mids will beat Reals mids. That is just not gonna happen. Specially with Benta on the field. and then Real had Casemiro to help. Then we go to the game. In attack Real has 3 better players on the rebound. In hold they one extra player for a pass if pressured or one extra player for extra support just in case something goes wrong. In defense, they have the same 2 mids pressuring plus one more to help in case needed or act as a central defender which he did a lot of the times. So Allegri was destined to lose that battle from the beginning. Plus the rest of the positions on the field were the same. Meaning One on one all the time. BAD IDEA.
Then we have Champions League vs Domestic league. A goal in the CL weight more than a goal in a Calcio.(For many reasons) most obvious one is the away goal rule. So a more attacking team has way better chance of winning the CL and that is a fact. Juve are the Kings of Italy because Defence wins leagues.( the 38 game format league). You can check the facts. There are way more attacking teams winning the CL just because a goal means more. So if any team wants to win it , they have to attack. And last DONT MISS THE SECOND GAME……….ITS NOT OVER
